German-Ukranian joint venture „Eco-Alliance”, LLC was established in the year of 2004 and now is a part of international CMM JI Projects consortium. The consortium works closely with the Centre of Alternative Energy and takes part in implementation of EU Research & Development Program aimed on improvement of CMM utilization technologies. On basis of present state of the site and previous experience next steps are already taken or in process:
- Various options of CMM utilization considering the long-term plan for mining;
- Emissions documentation of the project;
- Organization and maintenance of validation;
- Organization and maintenance of investment;
- Equipment supply with gauges for monitoring;
- Organization and maintenance of registration documentation for Ukrainian Emissions Agency and for JISC;
- Monitoring with periodical reports;
- Organization and maintenance of verification;
- Organization and maintenance of ERU trade.
Experience of the realization of first JI CMM projects has shown that these projects can be profitable as well for mines and for investors, and serve the purpose of mines’ safety growth and improvement of global environment. In the framework of CoMeth „Eco-Alliance” takes part in the working packages as follow:
- WP1 - Basics on country situation;
- WP2 - Basics on condition for technologies of CMM utilisation;
- WP3 - Optimising and development of innovative concept for CMM utilisation with production of LNG for natural gas replacement at a location in Poland;
- WP8 - Development of decision guidance for utilisation of CMM;
- WP9 – Dissemination;
- WP10 - Project management.
