Fraunhofer UMSICHT develops applied and custom-made process engineering technologies. Assuming a leading position in the fields of environmental and material technologies, process engineering and energy technology, Fraunhofer UMSICHT is committed to sustainable economic development, environmentally friendly technologies and innovative approaches designed to improve the standard of living and to promote the innovation capacity of the national economy. Fraunhofer UMSICHT is the coordinator of the CoMeth Project. It takes part in the following work packages (WP):

• WP1 - Basics on country situation;
• WP2 - Basics on condition for technologies of CMM utilisation;
• WP3 - Optimising and development of innovative concept for CMM utilisation with production of LNG for natural gas replacement at a location in Poland;
• WP4 - Implementation of the CMM utilisation with LNG-Production in Poland;
• WP5 - Optimising and development of CMM utilisations of methane from ventilation air at a location in Russia;
• WP6 - Implementation of CMM utilisation of methane from ventilation air at a chosen location in Russia;
• WP7 - Potential analysis and concepts for CMM utilisation in Kazakhstan;
• WP8 - Development of decision guidance for utilisation of CMM;
• WP9 - Dissemination;
• WP10 - Project management.
